SPRING NEWS

Listening assignment for all students:  Debussy's Arabesque No. 1. We will be talking about this in lesson next week.

HAPPY SPRING!  I am so proud of all the hard work, dedication, patience, and stellar progress of each one of my students. Each of them has learned so much and risen above the challenges of learning music remotely. Who knew phone drops, glitches, and battery life would be a regular part of music lessons? Luckily, we've found ways to laugh through the frustration and play on! To finish off the year, I am pleased to announce my Spring Master Class & Recital which I will be holding again via zoom. Have your schedules at the ready and read on for dates and details:

SPRING MASTER CLASS & RECITAL
MASTER CLASS :: Saturday, May 8 @ 3:00 p.m. :: Each student will have the chance to perform for their fellow musicians to learn how to give and receive constructive feedback as well as have fun learning from their fellow budding musicians. This student-favorite event will also feature my music appreciation/listening presentation at the end of the zoom session.

ZOOM RECITAL :: Sunday, May 23 @ 3:00 p.m. :: Invite family and friends from near and far to enjoy this recital video watch party. Each student will submit a performance video of their best work, which we will be working out in lessons over the next few weeks. More details to follow! SUMMER PLAYLISTS & SCHEDULES
LAST WEEK OF LESSONS :: May 24 – May 29 (For my New Englander students, I will be teaching through our spring break the last week of April and will contact you individually to shift your times to mornings for that week.)

SUMMER PLAYLISTS :: The last week of lessons, I will give each student a customized playlist with exercises and songs that will keep their music going through the summer until lessons start up again after Labor Day.

In the meantime, keep playing and let's all work hard as we all get ready for Spring Recital 2021!
